After
taking over an existing extrusion machinery company PLAMEX
Maschinenbau GmbH started in 1993
the production at their plant located in Kelberg, Germany. The two founders,
Heinz Schlier, for decades plant manager, and Jochen Herchenbach, formerly
managing director, both with Reifenhäuser, and the experienced
team stand for excellent know how in engineering, processing, and manufacturing
for the plastic industry.
The
range of products as well as the know how in engineering, processing
and manufacturing is based on more than thirty years experience in the
plastics industry.
Having
approx. 40 staff members who nearly all grew up in the mechanical engineering
industry for plastics processing machines - being the company’s
most valuable asset besides of highly specialized machine tools in a
wide vertical range of manufacture - PLAMEX Maschinenbau GmbH works
effectively and is in its understanding rather a small company.
On
the basis of this attitude, PLAMEX is concentrating upon niche products
with high demands on technology, reliability due to quality, and automatization
as far as possible.
Our
standard products are continuously further developed. New ideas are
picked up and brought to production-stage plants and innovative processes
by intense R&D work. This is also reflected by our R&D department
which is extraordinarily big in relation to our company’s size.
Our minimized administration allows us with the greatest flexibility
to comply with special wishes of our customers.
Our
business branches of subcontracted components for other suppliers, such
as screws, barrels, melt pipes, complete plasticizing units, extruders,
film winders and other components, as well as the reconditioning and
replacement of screws and barrels, and the reconditioning and modification
of existing lines forces us to think in terms of costs and prices.
Especially
the cooperation with leading processors and resin manufacturers never
lets us lose sight of the aim to build lines with superior quality which
offer a favourable price and efficiency structure, which best meet the
demands on special resins, and which offer user-friendly operation.
Quality,
price and efficiency structure, delivery in due time,and last but not
least a reliable and prompt service are the trade marks of PLAMEX Maschinenbau
GmbH.
The constantly bolstered trust by our customers is stimulus and also
a reason to be proud of our work.
Our aim is to fill a gap in the market where larger companies with higher
overheads and more cumbersome organisational structures find it difficult
to compete on versatility, flexibility, and service.
