The modular design and its variety of optional features and equipments make solutions possible for any kind of raw material and product , such as heavy duty film with large reel diameters and low speeds, or thin film of LD-PE or HD-PE with speeds up to 250 m/min.

A new system for alternative right/left winding direction which is patent pending must be emphasized.

 

The winders are equipped with servodrives. Their main features are:

The electronical control system is decentralized. All components are installed near the functional units and interconnected with the process data highway. The central control is a Siemens Simatic S7.

The operating system is centralized in a stable panel comprising the following functions:

• Indication of alarm messages
• Failure analysis
• Change over of languages

Via modem service functions are conducted by remote diagnostics. Customized control parameters can be set or adapted by means of the control panel.

All available 3” or 6” winding shafts made of steel, aluminium or fiber reinforced materials can be used in connection with various winding tubes. Their parameters are taken into account in all calculations of the reel diameter and the reel position.

The MULTIWIN winder can be equipped with various lifting and handling systems in all degrees of automation.

With their MULTIWIN winder Plamex offers a sophisticated product for engineering shops and end-users. Apart from the unique left/right winding mode as well as careful and low-tension guiding of the film web, many intelligent details have been realized in view of an unobjectionable reel quality for all kinds of films at maximum winding speeds.

The main items of the “Left winding mode” which is patent pending are the contact roll which works with negative pressure and which may be supported by static electricity, as well as a guide roll which takes the film web to its position for the crosscutting process. In the left winding mode this system guarantees start of winding without overturn. It operates without a centre drive and is especially favourable in case of pure contact winding.

Another advantage of this system - both in case of left winding and right winding mode - is the “slipless” adhesion of the film on the contact roll which operate swith negative pressure. A pressure roll can be omitted which prevents sensitive film types from damage.

Contact rolls which work with negative pressure will prevail because of their superior tracking in case of multi-web cutting.
